Hi it's lent time once again. I know it's not our favourite time like Christmas. However, its a beautiful time of grace. It's beautiful time because all that we are going to do during these 40days; extra prayer, fasting, self examination, charity, retreats etc. we will be doing for the sake of Jesus. Our love for Jesus gives meaning to all the Lenten activities that we will be doing. It becomes a joy to work on our conversion and not a dull gloomy burden. If we take it as a burden our body may be in the church but our hearts will be far away. We will end up continuing in our old sinful life thinking that no matter what we do, God will forgive us. If we continue to be dishonest and uncharitable and immoral we are nullifying the sacrifice of  Jesus on the cross. In other words, we are saying to ourselves we don't care about Christ's crucifixion. We care only about our lives and our desires. 

Lets make an U turn for Jesus and sign the LIC policy-Life in Christ during this lent. Lent is a beautiful time of salvation. Wishing one and all a meaningful and grace filled lent.

 It’s the feast day of our Lady of Lourdes.  Have you ever wondered what’s so special about this place in France? 

Being there twice I have observed… 

• The hospitality of the people specially the taxi drivers and the volunteers.

• The beautiful rosary procession every Saturday in different languages even Indian.

• The care of the sick and the disabled.

• The chilling experience of the dip in the spring water for healing.

• The simple yet beautiful grotto of Mary

• The Ave Maria words in various ancient languages even in Tamil carved on the rock of the grotto.

• The beautiful Marian shrine symbolizing extended arms and the underground huge church to cater to thousands of pilgrims.

• Last but not the least the amazing cold weather which compels you to extend your stay there.

When Mary intervenes here on earth it is always an awesome memorable experience. Thank you Mother Mary for loving us and interceding on our behalf. We are eternally grateful to you.
