“I'll be back!” (Advent Reflection)-WONDERING GURU

 Fr. Nelson Lobo OFM Cap

Will He be back?

It’s 1984. I was just a little kid in the boarding school, anxiously waiting to watch the science fiction film Terminator of my then favourite actor the great macho man Arnold Schwarzenegger. Long before the Terminator could utter “I'll be back!” Jesus had already said, “I am coming soon!” in Rev 22:7. That’s the great message of advent.  Jesus says he will be back the second time. The Second Coming of Christ is one of the important subjects for us Christians.  So what is this Second coming all about? Is it a creation of the Church? Did Jesus speak about it? Yes definitely! He spoke about His own return. (Mt.24:30, Jn.14:2-3) two men dressed in white foretold it (Acts 1:10-11). The early Christians motivated one another with it (1Ths 4:16-18, Rev. 1:7). They were asked to patiently wait for His coming (Jas 5:7-8, Heb.10:37).

How do we know when it will happen?

Will there be any signs that when it really happens we will be able to see it? The seventh angel will sound his trumpet (Rev 10:6-7, Rom. 16:25-26; Our earthly bodies will become like His glorious bodies (Phil. 3:20-21, 1Cor. 15:35-53); The dead in Christ will be raised to life.  (2Cor 4:14, Jn. 6:40, 11:25); those believers still alive will be caught up to meet Him. (Mt. 24:31); Creation will be set free from its bondage (Rom. 8: 19-22, Isaiah 35:1-7); all His enemies will be put under His feet (1Cor. 15: 24-25,2Thess. 1:7-10); Satan will be bound. Rev 20:1-10); Jesus will be revealed from heaven in a blazing fire with his powerful angels (2Thess. 1:6-9); A kingdom will be set up that will never be destroyed (Dan 2:44, Rev. 19:15-16).

How will Jesus be back?

Will He come suddenly (1Ths 5:1-3,4-11); will He come like the Lightning (Mt. 24:27, Lk. 17:24); will He come in just the way He left. (Acts 1: 10-11); will He come with great power and glory (Lk 21:27); will He come infront of everyone (Rev. 1:7)?

What type of preparation should we make?

Billy Graham once said, “We are to wait for the coming of Christ with patience. We are to watch with anticipation. We are to work with zeal. We are to prepare with urgency.” The commentator Warren Wiersbe sums up second coming in three commands: “Wake up, clean up, and grow up!”     So we need to be watchful at all times. The devil is prowling like a roaring lion warned St. Peter (1 Pt 5:8) we need to pray constantly (1Thess 5:17) Consistency in prayer is important. Our love has to increase (Mt. 21:31ff).  We must keep on doing the work God has assigned to us in life both quietly and faithfully (2Thess 3:12).

The Final Coming of Christ is a twofold event. He will come when the world comes to an end.  When that will happen no one knows except the father (Mark 13:32). However my personal world will come to an end on the day I die and that too without knowing when (Eccl 9:12).  Therefore we need to be prepared all the time before it is too late. A priest and pastor were standing by the side of the road holding up a sign that read, "The End is near! Turn around before it's too late!" One speeding motorist yelled out his window, “Leave us alone, you religious nuts!” as he flew by. From around the curve they heard screeching tires and a big splash. “Do you think," said one clergy to the other, "we should just put up a sign that says ‘Bridge Out’ instead?

Should a Christian celebrate Halloween?

 Fr. Nelson Lobo OFM Cap

There is a lot of mix-ups in the minds of the Christians regarding the participation in the feast of Halloween. Consequently, the debate goes on every year. I was asked to throw some light on this debate.  So here I am. The debatable issues are many. 1) Is it a pagan (not Christian) festival? Does it involve the worship of the devil? Does it have pagan or Catholic origin? What is wrong to take part in the party?

Well! Let’s begin with the etymology and history of the festival.

Actually, Halloween means nothing by itself. It simply means "All Hallows Eve or All Hallows Day”. Hallow, as a noun could mean saint and as a verb or adjective it could mean holy. So, Halloween does have a connection with All Saints Day. This feast of All Saints (Nov 1) was earlier known as Hallow-Mass or All Hallow-Mass. Therefore, Halloween is a shortened form of Hallows-Eve or the evening before Hallows day.  It has been called that way for the past 200 years.

So, when did it begin? Some accounts say that the peasants, who lived 2,000 years ago in the Celtic belt (Ireland, UK and northern France), celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the spirits of the dead returned to earth causing trouble and damaging crops. The Druids or Celtic priests built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other’s fortunes.

Some other accounts say that in the ancient Celtic (mostly Irish) calendar, November 1 began the New Year. So naturally it was a time of celebration and merry making. The Celtic people made this their cultural celebration. Just like the carnival today. While Christians who are opposed to the celebration of Halloween frequently claim that it descends from the Celtic harvest festival of Samhain. However, there's no evidence whatsoever that Gregory III (who instituted the feast of All Saints in 8th C in Rome) or Gregory IV (who made it universal 100 years later) was even aware of Samhain. This cultural festival had stopped being celebrated when the Celtic people converted to Christianity hundreds of years before the Feast of All Saints was instituted. In Celtic peasant culture, however, elements of the harvest festival survived, even among Christians, just as the Christmas tree owes its origins to pre-Christian Germanic traditions.

So, if the exact origin of this festival is debatable why there is so much controversy? What created the controversy? The controversy started in America.

The debate was between the Catholics and the Protestants.  The Catholics did not give much importance to this festival whereas the Protestants preached downright that the festival is a big NO to Christians. They even went on identifying the festival with the Catholic Church. Since the Protestants do not believe in saints they started suppressing all Catholic festivals.

In post-Reformation England the Celtic peasant customs associated with Halloween were outlawed.  In the North-eastern United States, Puritans outlawed the celebration of both Christmas and Halloween. The celebration of Christmas in the United States was revived largely by German Catholic immigrants in the 19th century; Irish Catholic immigrants brought with them the celebration of Halloween. Continued opposition to Halloween in the late 19th century was largely an expression of anti-Catholicism and anti-Irish prejudice. But by the early 20th century, Halloween, like Christmas and Carnival, were becoming highly commercialized.

All the different traditions revolving around All Saints and All Souls were mixed together in the United States when immigrants started to intermarry and combine customs. The celebration of Halloween spread throughout the country during the early 20th century and quickly became a secular community activity that was devoid of its Christian origins. In the modern times criticism of Halloween by protestants began in the 1980's, in part because of claims that Halloween was the "Devil's Night". By the late 1990s, many Catholic parents began to question Halloween celebrations.

Paganism in the ancient times and paganism today are poles apart.   Modern paganism is precisely modern and should be distinguished from the cults of ancient religions. Modern paganism as far as Halloween is concerned is just about 200 years old. It has no connection with the paganism of ancient times. The paganism that exists today is a romantic and very selective form of entertainment. Today when people talk about Halloween they do not talk about the dead or the spirits or the ghosts or some animal sacrifices.  They talk in terms of entertainment and having fun.  But as the Bible says the devil is very cunning. (1 Peter 5:8; Rev 12:11; Eph 6:11; 1 John 5:19; Eph 6:11) He has all the tricks up his sleeve to deceive us so that we may end up worshiping him and betraying Jesus.  So if the celebration of Halloween involves some kind of cult of the devil, some kind of invoking of the dead spirits or witchcraft and black magic then it is very clear this festival has to be avoided.  But since the devil is extra intelligent, he may not seduce the participants through such actions, he will seduce them through alcohol, drugs and cheating on partners. Money and pleasure have always been source of evil and sin.  Therefore, the Catholic Church was always cautious about such festivals. So, it is up to us Christians to decide. Choose well choose wisely.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE POPE’S VISIT TO BAHRAIN

Peace on Earth to people of Goodwill

Fr. Nelson Lobo OFM Cap

(Doha Qatar)

The Pope's visit to the Gulf comes following an invitation from Bahrain’s King Hamad and by the head of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia, Bishop Paul Hinder. The Pope’s visit affects not only the country of visitation but also other gulf countries such as Doha Qatar and Saudi Arabia. In May 2011, the Holy See re-organized the Vicariate of Kuwait, giving it the new name of “Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia” (AVONA) which also includes besides Kuwait the territories of Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.

Though the visit is happening now in November of 2022 but the Pope was invited to Bahrain as early as 2014 but then he had to go to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2019 to sign the Declaration for Human Fraternity. The Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together, also known as the Abu Dhabi declaration or Abu Dhabi agreement, is a joint statement signed by Pope Francis of the Catholic Church and Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, on 4 February 2019 in Abu Dhabi. This Document, in accordance with previous International Documents emphasizes the importance of the role of religions in the construction of world peace; to defend the values of mutual understanding, human fraternity and harmonious co-existence.

Pope Francis’ Apostolic Journey to Bahrain takes place on 3-6 November, where he will attend the “Bahrain Forum for Dialogue”, under the motto “Peace on earth to people of goodwill”.

The people in Gulf are excited about the Pope’s visit but the question on everyone’s mind is the significance of this visit. Bishop Hinder said the central theme of the visit is centred on peace and goodwill. He said: “We pray that this visit of His Holiness Pope Francis, besides strengthening our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, may contribute to the increase of peace and understanding all over the world…, Gathered together as a 'people of goodwill', may we all work in unison to build a brighter future for our common home and for the coming generations.”

Reading the signs of the times four intertwined stories could be the motive for the Pope’s visit: The recently inaugurated (Dec. 10, 2021) Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia (King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa donated 9,000 square metres of land for the construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia), a Marian devotion (The title of Our Lady of Arabia was approved in 1948 to fulfil the prophecy of the Magnificat “From this day all generations will call me blessed.” Devotion to Our Lady of Arabia was therefore born on Dec. 8, 1948, the day on which the small chapel of Ahmadi in Kuwait was dedicated to this title.  In the chapel is a statue that had been blessed in the Vatican by Pius XII himself) fostering relations with other Christian communities (there are many other Christian denominations in the gulf), and dialogue for peace and understanding with the Muslim world. This visit could further strengthen the Abu Dhabi declaration or Abu Dhabi agreement. The king of Bahrain in his invitation to the Pope had praised the Pope’s role “in promoting dialogue and understanding between religions and civilizations, as well as in promoting the values of human brotherhood, tolerance, and co-existence among all.” Furthermore, the king had confirmed his desire to “strengthen existing relations of friendship and co-operation” with the Holy See.

So, Pope Francis is visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain not only to encourage the country’s small Catholic flock (as per www.catholicsandcultures.org/bahrain it is 164,000) but also to attend the “Bahrain Forum for Dialogue: East and West for Human Co-existence”.

Keeping in mind the purpose of this visit the Vatican has beautifully designed the logo for the visit. Vatican’s as well as AVONA websites gives the detail explanation of the logo. The motto for the Apostolic Journey to Bahrain is “Peace on earth to people of goodwill”, which is taken from the Gospel of Luke, 2:14. The visit’s logo consists of the flags of the Holy See and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which are represented in stylized form as two hands open towards God. According to the Holy See Press Office, the logo symbolizes “the commitment of peoples and nations to encounter each other free from prejudice and in a spirit of fraternal openness”. An olive branch extending upwards from the hands symbolizes peace, “the fruit of fraternal encounter”. The words “Pope Francis” appears below the symbol in the colour blue, to show that the Visit is entrusted to “Our Lady of Arabia”, the patroness of the Cathedral, which was a gift of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the local Catholic Church.

Such an important visit demands lot of preparation and arrangements.  At the same time, it calls for a lot of prayers from the catholic community.  The churches of AVONA are already praying for the success of this papal visit.

We wish Pope Francis a fruitful visit to Bahrain and the people of AVONA grace filled blessings from Our Lady of Arabia.

Can We Experience the Peace in Tragedy? Fr. Nelson lobo OFM Cap

(Finding that peace that passes understanding as promised by Jesus)

   Wondering Guru

Have you ever wondered the quantum of tragedies, suffering and pain humanity has ever suffered? Definitely it will be an uphill task to gather the exact statistics.  Since the time of Genesis the day Cain killed his brother Abel it has been a story of series of tragedies. Tears never stopped rolling down the cheeks of the human beings and I guess also from the eyes of the other living creatures. Individuals, families, societies, tribes, kingdoms, nations and civilizations have all gone through untold and unimaginable fear, suffering, pain and death. Someone made a study of these tragedies and humanity’s attempt to seek peace in the past recorded human history. Humanity can trace back its recorded history upto 3600 years. The writer says that in the past 3600 years humanity had only 286 years of peace. In 3600 years man fought 14,000 wars and killed 3.6 billion people. In an attempt to contain wars around 8000 peace treaties were made, and all of them have been broken in one way or another.  At social and national level peace has eluded us for the past 3600 years.                                                                                 This is primarily because man depended on his own efforts. People think government can give us peace.  Infact it just the opposite.  Politicians create situations of tragedies and people end up dying. So politicians giving us peace is a misnomer. May be Jesus knew that man cannot give the world the true peace. Therefore He said: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27) Peace is a major theme in the Bible. One writer says that it appears more than 80 times in the Bible. In the Bible peace means Shalom.  Shalom is translated as wholeness, completeness, good health, security and even prosperity. So it is much more than an absence of war an understanding of peace given to us by the politicians.

Shalom means despite tragedies there is always joy. Remember the God's word "The Joy of the Lord is my strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). Remember St. Paul’s words ‘Rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4).  Paul was in prison (tragedy) when he wrote that letter.  How can someone speak of joy in prison? Paul knew the meaning of shalom. Remember the famous man of all tragedies Mr. Job?  Four servants come and narrate to him stories of tragedy one after another. Inspite of total loss he kneels and worships God saying “We bring nothing at birth; we take nothing with us at death. The Lord alone gives and takes. Praise the name of the Lord!” (Job 1:13-22). Job knew the meaning of Shalom. Remember the mother of the seven sons in 2 Maccabees7? Antiochus the tyrant killed six of her sons and now he is about to kill her last son.  Inspite of losing six sons and gone through the excruciating pain of their deaths yet she is requesting her last son her only hope to remain faithful and to die an honorable death. How is it possible for a mother to witness the death of her seven sons and yet be peaceful?  Do you remember those famous names in the OT Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel3) who fearlessly told King Nebuchadnezzar that they weren’t going to bow before his false God? How can someone with such confidence oppose an emperor (who has all the authority to kill) in the face of death? Do you remember what Peter did before his martyrdom? King Herod had already killed the Apostle James & everyone knew it was the night of Peter’s martyrdom. That night Peter was chained between two guards. Peter was found asleep." Now how many prisoners do you suppose sleep well the night before their execution? Peter knew the Lord. Peter understood the meaning of shalom. Psalm 46:10 says ‘be still and know that I am Lord”. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). Paul and Peter’s hearts were not troubled because they knew the Lord. They remembered the words of their Master. “Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28).

When Jesus says He gives peace and rest in a world of tragedies two beautiful and meaningful paintings come to my mind which I had seen online some time back. There is this painting of the devastation; most probably due to earthquake. The picture depicted fallen buildings, blazing fire and thick smoke emanating in the background, people injured on the ground and some dead bodies lying around.  But there, right in the middle of that gruesome picture, was a mom holding her baby in her arms. The innocent little face was blissfully sleeping, unaware of the earthquake and the fear and suffering. The child’s face looked unbelievably peaceful. In the midst of all that trouble, there was peace. That’s the type of peace Jesus promises. The other painting was entitled “Peace.” It depicted huge waves hitting the rocks in a thunderous applause. The weather was painted very stormy and the waves crashing on the shore and hitting the rocks looked so perilous.

It seems anything but peaceful. But the artist painted in a small corner of the painting, tucked away in the rocks, a little bird sitting on her nest, totally oblivious to the raging storm. That’s the type of peace Jesus promises. God's peace is based on relationship with Him. Political peace is heavily depended on international trade and military. People in the world walk by sight. Followers of Christ walk by faith in the Master Jesus Christ who has the power to calm down any type of storms in our lives.

Have you or your family experienced any tragedies? How did you react to your tragedies? Were you in search of peace that passes understanding? Were you like where can I/We find peace in my/our life/lives? Are the tragedies in the world giving you sleepless nights? What is it that troubles you? What is it that makes you worry? Is the uncertain future troubling you? Is sickness, fear of death, unemployment, family fights, divorce, jealousy and envy robbing your peace? Bruce Allen says ‘Tragedy comes into every life. The details vary, but the experience does not’.  The famous columnist advice Guru Ann Landers it seems used to receive roughly 10,000 letters a month from people seeking advice. When asked what seems to be the most common topic, she said FEAR. People are afraid of losing their health, job, family, afraid of upsetting their neighbor, alienating a friend, or committing a social faux pas.

Seeking for Peace does not mean there won’t be pain and suffering and death.  Even when a baby is born there is certain amount of pain during pregnancy and violence to the mother’s body during delivery.  Peace is not the absence of trouble in this world. It’s the presence of Christ. It’s believing that Jesus is with us always, all time and every time. He is our strength when we feel weak. He is our refuge in times of storms and our wisdom in times of confusion and our courage in face of fear.  He is our hope in moments of death and dying. Peace is having the sure hope of eternal life. Peace is believing that “whoever lives and believes in Jesus will never die” (Jn 11:26) Kevin Parkins writes ‘Peace is not an academic, social, economic, physical achievement, simple enough- a gift, nothing you can do to earn, deserve or demand. Albeit, a gift that you must accept’.  Helen Keller said as reported by Denn Guptill, "I do not want the peace which passes understanding; I want the understanding which brings peace."

Jesus the Prince of Peace wants to gift you this peace this Christmas season. Like Hellen Keller if we understand that only God can gift us true peace we will be able to face life calmly and with total serenity. If we live by faith we will have the courage to face and accept all the tragedies that come our way. After all without Gethsemane and Calvary there is no resurrection. It’s only after resurrection Jesus appears to his apostles and says “Peace be with you!” (John 20:26).  Peace be with you my friend! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Holiness Kit of Bl. Carlo Acutis/ Fr. Nelson Lobo OFM Cap

How to live a holy life?

1)   To love God with all your heart

2)   Each day try to go to Holy Mass

3)   Each day try to receive Holy Communion

4)   Pray the rosary daily

5)   Read a passage from the The Bible daily

6)   Visit the Tabernacle each day

7)   Go to confession once a week

8)   Help others as often as you can

Let’s prayer the Official Prayer  to Carlo Acutis approved by Bishop Angelo Mascheroni Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Milano and published by EWTN.

O God our Father, we thank you for giving us Carlo, a model of life for young people, and a message of love for all. You made him fall in love with your son Jesus, making the Eucharist his “highway to heaven.” You gave him Mary as a beloved mother, and you made him, through the Rosary, a cantor of her tenderness. Receive his prayer for us. Look above all upon the poor, whom he loved and assisted. Grant me too, through his intercession, the grace that I need (mention your intention). And make our joy full, raising Carlo among the saints of your Church, so that his smile shines again for us to the glory of your name. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

10 FACTS every Young Catholic should know about Bl. Carlo Acutis/ Fr. Nelson Lobo OFM Cap

1.    Carlos’s role models were not any sports or film celebrities.  His models were young saints such as Francis of Assisi, Bernadette, Jacinta, Francisco Marto, and Dominic Savio. He says all are born original but because we run after celebrities we die as photocopies.

2.    At school Carlo tried to comfort friends whose parents were undergoing divorce, as well as stepping in to defend disabled/handicaped students from bullies. He treated girls with purity and respect.  He would not allow his friends to make any fun, any joke about the girls or their bodies.

3.    After school hours he volunteered his time with the city's homeless and destitute. He would use his pocket money not to buy mobiles but to buy clothes or sleeping bags for those on the streets. That’s why his funeral was attended by many homeless people.

4.    Carlo frequently prayed before the tabernacle before or after every Mass. He would say too much time under the Sun gives us tan so also spending much time in adoration makes us saints.  Carlo who is called as the saint of the internet created a website to report every Eucharistic miracle around the world. He used to say "the more often we receive the Eucharist, the more we will become like Jesus, so that on this earth we will have a foretaste of heaven."

5.    While investigating his cause for beatification expert technicians examined his computer, tracked his search history and all the apps that he fiddled with and found out/ that he always used his computer for good purpose and never for evil.  He never visited any adult websites, never watched porn, never watched any dirty images or videos. Never indulged in online gossip or negative criticism.

6.    Even though he was computer savvy and video game enthusiast /he followed a self-imposed penance i.e. he would play only one hour of video game every week.  He strongly believed in self-control, moderation and discipline.

7.    As soon as he was confirmed, at age eleven, he volunteered to be a catechist. He became a friend to many migrant children. Many girls were his friends. He promoted genuine friendships.

8.    It seems a hindu boy would come to clean his house.  This hindu boy was so impressed with his simplicity (even though Carlo belonged to a rich family) with his charity, purity and his strong faith that he decided to take baptism in the catholic church.

9.    Even though he went for mass every day, prayed the daily rosary and confessed his sins every week he still struggled with isolation and his sickness.  Many times, the devil takes advantage of our loneliness and sickness. The devil wants us to remain depressed. He said the only way to fight the devil is by participating in daily mass and praying the daily rosary.

10.                   Finally, In the white stone tomb inside a glass coffin lies blessed Carlos, apparently sleeping, his face peaceful and kind, a rosary looped around his hand: this teenage boy is dressed in jeans, sneakers, and a casual sports top. He was buried in the way he lived his daily life with no other paraphernalia which we usually see during the funerals of young people.

This is about how a modern teenager lived a very holy life in this present sinful world.  If he can do it you also can do it. May Blessed Carlo Acutis bless you and help you.

7 FACTS every Catholic Parent should know about Bl. Carlo Acutis/ Fr. Nelson Lobo OFM Cap

1)   Carlo Acutis was born in London to an Italian family. His parents before settling in Milan in Italy were migrants working in London and in Germany.

2)   His parents weren’t especially devout. They were not religious, hardly going to the church. His mom said that before Carlo, she went to Mass only 3 times; on her First Holy Communion Day, her confirmation, and on her wedding day. But because of her son Acutis she and her cousins started attending mass regularly.

3)   Carlo was diagnosed with leukemia. He offered his sufferings for the Pope and for the Church. He said if we criticize the church, we actually criticize ourselves because we are the church and there are still plenty good priests and good Catholics in the church.

4)   Even though he went for mass every day, prayed the daily rosary and confessed his sins every week he still struggled with isolation and his sickness.  Many times, my friends the devil takes advantage of our loneliness and sickness. The devil wants us to remain depressed. Therefore He said the only way to fight the devil is by participating in daily mass and praying the daily rosary.

5)   He never asked his mom to take him to the shopping mall or to a good restaurant rather he would request his mom to take him to all the pilgrimage centres of Eucharistic miracles.  Since he would ask many questions about God and religion his mom enrolled herself for a course in theology and bible study.

6)   His heart, which can now be considered a relic, is displayed in a reliquary in the Basilica of St. Francis/ in Assisi. It was his wish to be buried in Assisi/Italy in the town of his favourite saint, St. Francis of Assisi. His mother said that his family had wanted to donate his organs when he died, but were unable to do so because of the leukemia.

7)   Carlo was the only child of his parents. His mother, Antonia, is said to attribute to his intercession the fact that, at the age of 44, she gave birth to twins, born exactly four years to the day after his death. You know friends, those who are struggling to conceive or if they have suffered miscarriages, they must take courage there is still hope even in their forties.

This is about a young boy an only child, who by his strong faith and love for God so to say converted his parents to fall in love with God and to attend the church regularly.  No wonder Jesus says let the little children come to me for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Carlo’s Mother said: “Carlo’s life can teach many young people that a normal life can become extraordinary if we put God at the centre and walk in harmony with God's plan for us. Carlo did this. ”
